Here are some details about some of the features indicated above.
Online Song Requests:
You will be able to pick a song we have on our playout system or request a song that isn't to be played on WHYU-FM
and even be able to dedicate the song or have our DJ say something on the air about your requested track.
These requests are handled manually by the DJ on duty in the order received.
Enhanced Track Control:
You can be the DJ and spin the tunes you like using our enhanced automated track control system. Your selected track(s) will
automatically be added to our playout system! It will then be played as soon as possible, based on what is currently airing.
Everyone in the listening area will then hear exactly what you want to hear. Limitations of course include the available tracks
based on the time of day and current rotation schedule.
Discounts & Gear:
We're working with area merchants to provide discounts on products and services throughout our listening area
for anyone who has a valid WHYU-FM membership card. A full list of discounts available will be maintained on our website.
Many designs for WHYU gear which includes hats, bumper stickers, sweatshirts, t-shirt and more will be published soon.
All donating members will be able to pick from any of those available designs based on what is included with their membership levels.
Donating members will also receive discounts on all gear purchases.
